That likes magical girl anime way more than I should. 

So I was dragged along by my mum to go on one of her friends 50th birthday cruise. 
At first it wasn’t so bad.
The boat ride was nice. I got to float by the nuclear plant I want to work at.
Saw some nice scenery.
It didn’t start getting annoying until my mums friends were gawking at me and talking about my right in front of my face.
I don’t like being called a freak to my face.
Then they asked me about my career path and I told them. The seemed awed and amazed that a girl would want to study nuclear chemistry.
That also annoyed me.
Any way. When we got off the boat. There was this boy.
playing guitar.
He was playing a lovely acoustic of the Cowboy Bebop Ending.
I was enraptured.
When he was finished I dropped some money in his helmet and said “See you around space cowboy.”
I went back to our car to change and when we regrouped one of his friends came up to me and gave me a beautiful reef flower,bowed his head and said “Thanks for coming back to this atmosphere so I can thank the girl with drops of jupiter in her hair.”
I was shocked and speechless.
I said thank you and he scurried away with a wink.
My mum was outraged that a “White” man had given me such a gift.  I didn’t give a fuck about her racist antics this time. 
That genuinely made me smile. 
I love people like that.
I hope to see that space cowboy again.
Hopefully by then he will be famous.
